For us, it's about the conversations, the familiar faces, the little moments of joy, and the relationships built along the way.

It started behind a coffee bar.
My coffee journey began at a small drive-through coffee stand in North Carolina. I fell in love with the fast pace, creating drinks, and the simple joy of seeing familiar faces every day.
Before long, I knew customers by name. I knew about their families, their jobs, and their favorite orders. What started as a barista job eventually led me to become a shift lead, assistant manager, and finally the manager of the very store where I started.
But no matter how much I learned or grew, my favorite place was always behind the bar—making coffee and being part of someone's day.
Then coffee became part of our story.
Coffee has been part of Joey's and my relationship since we started dating. We loved discovering new coffee shops, trying different drinks, and spending time together over a cup of coffee.
We got married in 2025, and Hope Cafe has given us the opportunity to bring something I've dreamed about for years to life together.
Joey has been my biggest supporter. We've learned how our different strengths can work together toward something we both believe in.
And now, we're bringing that passion to Detroit.
We love this city, its people, its character, and the community that makes it special.
We believe meaningful growth happens when people invest in one another. For us, coffee is a small but powerful way to create those moments of connection.
Our hope is simple: that you leave with a drink you love and feel just as good about the experience that came with it.
We want Hope Cafe to be a place where people feel genuinely welcomed, where relationships grow, and where God's love is reflected in the way we serve.
